Luck ‘O The Irish: MDS Kit of the Month

This month I’ve created some sample projects using the Luck ‘O The Irish Ensemble for My Digital Studio.

To use this kit for your party, you simply open the ensemble in MDS as an 8-1/2 x 11″ portrait photo book, which is how most printables are found in MDS. Then, depending on lead time, you can send the project out to be printed or print on your home printer. How adorable are those leprechaun hats?!?!

This product photo is really just the tip of the iceberg for what you can do with this kit! It’s designed to help make your St. Paddy’s Party really shine, but I’ve used the kit to make a digital scrapbook page!

More Amore Project 2: MDS Kit of the Month

I hope you enjoyed my first two More Amore projects for my MDS Kit of the Month.

I’ve created a second scrapbook page using the same items, with a completely different look!FEB2015 Scrap-More Amore-001

For this page I used a background paper from the More Amore designer series paper. This paper actually has a quote on the bottom right corner, which is lovely, but not what I wanted for this project. So I found a way to cover it using re-colored Retro Fresh Washi Tape and an Antique Brad (included in the MDS software).

The “I love you” is a stamp brush, which I colored once and copied/pasted until I had seven lined up. I reduced the opacity on each stamp as I went down the line, to make the faded effect. The “Sweet” and “Heart” are two different stamps which I cropped to get the look I wanted. Finally, I added some embellishments in the upper right corner: More Amore hearts and a heart from Everyday Woodcuts.

Great Reason to Use My Digital Studio #7: Use Digital Downloads from MDS in Photoshop (if you already use it)

Maybe you are smarter than me and understand how to use Photoshop. Maybe you’ve even been using Photoshop for years for digital scrapbooking. I have great news for you! My Digital Studio content downloads CAN be used in other software besides MDS.

Great Reason to Use My Digital Studio #8: Use Digital Content from Other Sources (non-MDS) in the MDS Software, Too!

Digital content from sources other than My Digital Studio can be used in MDS! As long as they are compatible with the program and you know where to put them in your program files, you’ll be able to use them similarly to how you use the regular MDS content!
