What is the Birthday Club?

Customer Birthday 2013 for blogToday I wanted to post briefly about my Birthday Club… because I have THREE customers celebrating their birthday today! Happy Birthday, Kristie, Lindsay & Mary Ellen!

Basically, if you are a customer of mine, on my email mailing list, and you’ve provided me with your date of birth (year not necessary!) then YOU are IN the Birthday Club!  If you aren’t sure, then check my Class & Event Calendar, where I list birthdays of Club Members who meet the criteria.

During the month of your birthday, you will receive a card from me in the mail (if I have your mailing address) reminding you about your Birthday Club Savings.

Birthday Club members can place an order with me any time during their birthday month, and receive 10% off their order! It’s just that simple!

Currently, I have no way to give the 10% discount on an Online Order in my Online Store… so you have 2 options:

  • Option 1. (preferred) – Email me with your order, or give me a call. I will place the order for you, and automatically give you the Birthday Club Savings!
  • Option 2. Order through my online store, paying full price, and email me to tell me that the order you placed is for your Birthday Club Savings. I will then reimburse you for the 10%.

 

If you check my Class & Event Calendar and DO NOT see your name on your birthday, then you are probably NOT on my email mailing list! This is super-easy to fix! Simply fill out the form on the top left corner of my website, check your email for a confirmation, then follow the instructions to begin receiving my email newsletters and become a member of the Birthday Club!

Modern Medley Thank You Card

Two weeks ago, I spent a relaxing and fun weekend at Priceless Memories Scrapbooking Retreat in downtown Wylie, Texas. I was there with my beautiful sister, and our group of stamping friends!

I made a lot of handmade cards for my upcoming classes and events, and I nearly completed another scrapbook that I’ve been working on for years!

Modern Medley Thank You CardPictured here is one of the cards I made that weekend. My stamping friend Irene was showing me some of the designer series papers she brought with her, and I remarked that I had the Modern Medley DSP on my “wish list” to order. Well! She just handed me half of her DSP pack! Six whole double-sided 12×12 papers! She’s just so kind! So, I quickly went back to my table and made her this card!

This card was super-simple, with very few supplies. It uses a Very Vanilla card stock base, the Modern Medley DSP, and just a little Real Red card stock. I stamped the sentiment with the Oh, Hello stamp set and used the Apothecary Accents framelits and the Decorative Label punch. To finish it off, I added a couple of Pearls.

I just LOVE all the beautiful patterns in the Modern Medley designer series paper. I can’t wait to make even more beautiful handmade cards and projects with it. Check it out in my online store, along with all of the other beautiful papers we offer!

“Best of Autumn” Stamp Set from Stampin’ Up!

Welcome to the “Best of Stampin’ Up!” stamp set for September… The “Best of Autumn!”

Each month I’ll post information here on my website about the NEW “Best Of” set for that month:

The Details:

  • All “Best Of” stamp sets will include 3-5 images, including a never-before seen image, and will be priced at $14.95.
  • While just one “Best Of” stamp set will be released each month (with a new theme each month), all of the “Best Of” sets will be available until March 31, 2014.
  • All “Best Of” stamp sets are available in Clear-Mount only.
  • As a special incentive to collect the “Best Of” stamps, starting in February there will be a collector’s card and 25-year proof of purchase sticker included with every “Best Of” set. Collect six stickers, and send it in to redeem a FREE set of your choice valued up to $14.95! Free sets must be redeemed no later than April 30, 2014.

World Card Making Day is Saturday, October 5, 2013!

To celebrate, I’m holding a card making event… Stamp-A-Stack!

Stamp-A-Stack for World Card Making Day is Friday, October 4, from 7 PM to 10 PM (ish). Visit my information page for more details and to register to attend no later than Tuesday, September 24th.

Now, I’ve held Stamp-A-Stacks before, but for World Card Making Day, I’m making this one extra special!

  • We will be making 16 cards – 4 each of 4 designs – all supplies included.
  • I’ll have loads of display samples for you to get inspiration (bring a camera!)
  • You can choose to bring 2 handmade cards – one to donate to Ronald McDonald House and one to swap with another attendee! Swap participants will receive a gift from me!
  • Everyone who attends will receive a package of Season of Style washi tape!
  • Door Prizes will be awarded!
  • Refreshments will be served!
